The Taubman and Webb Trading Post is a tribute centre dedicated to the late Syd Bayliss, a renowned bushman, plaiter, and whip maker. Visitors can explore a collection of leather items crafted and used by Syd, alongside works by local whip maker Richard Taubman, the attraction’s namesake. A variety of handmade leather goods are also available for purchase.
Richard and Leah Taubman are passionate about preserving Syd’s stories for future generations. Richard offers whip-making classes and showcases his whip-cracking talents with "Big Bertha," a 20-meter whip he often cracks down Murringo’s main street.
The Trading Post also serves as a Cellar Door for Trandari Wines and sells local honey, with fresh eggs occasionally available. Open every weekend, it’s a place where heritage, craftsmanship, and community come together.
