2026 Hilltops Off The Beaten Track Arts & Cultural Trail
🏛️ Harden–Murrumburrah Museum | 🖼️ Local History & Heritage Art Displays
Step inside the magnificent 1912 School of Arts building in Murrumburrah and discover the stories, people, and places that have shaped the Harden–Murrumburrah district.
The Harden–Murrumburrah Museum is home to an impressive and carefully curated collection of local historical items, photographs, documents, and artefacts, lovingly preserved by the Harden–Murrumburrah Historical Society.
As part of the Hilltops Off The Beaten Track Arts & Cultural Trail, the museum also features special displays highlighting the region’s creative and cultural heritage — including a framed pencil sketch of the Murrumburrah School House by local artist Barbara Bullock (1974). This artwork was part of Barbara’s estate and generously donated to the Historical Society, adding a deeply personal and local connection to the exhibition.
This is a reflective stop on the trail — perfect for history lovers, heritage enthusiasts, and anyone curious about the lives and stories behind the town.
